Bright Eyes Family Vision Care is participating in a clinical investigation of the effectiveness of a contact lens to help slow the progression of nearsightedness (myopia) in children.

Participants must be 8-12 years old and interested in wearing contact lenses.

This study will last 4 years and will involve approximately 12 visits at Bright Eyes Family Vision Care in Westchase, Tampa.

Participants will receive complimentary contact lenses and will be compensated for their time.

How important is it to get the exact BC and DIA on daily disposable contact lenses? Very infrequent wearer.

I can get different brands if I go ±0.1 or ±0.2 on both BC and DIA.

Today it only took me 20 minutes to get my #contactlenses in! That's significant progress! This afternoon I'll find out if my eyes look good enough to use them regularly.

It's so interesting having my full field of view mostly in focus after about eight years of glasses. I feel like I've been missing out on quite a lot.

It's so interesting having my full field of view mostly in focus after about eight years of glasses. I feel like I've been missing out on quite a lot.

The battle to get my eyes used to #ContactLenses continues. It only took me 80 minutes to get them in today. Then about 10 minutes of intense stinging after they're in. Then a half hour of everything being fine. Then one eye goes blurry and keeps getting worse so I take that contact out (30 seconds... It just popped out as soon as I touched it) and then the other eye (15 minutes to get it out). I've gotta keep telling myself it's worth it for the improved peripheral vision.

Each day, I try to share three things I like/enjoy/am grateful for as my contribution to a positive space. (H/T
