We have recently clarified the role of #coherence in #contextuality inequalities in https://arxiv.org/abs/2209.02670. One of the big picture view is to push the idea of coherence as a relational property of set of states, formally introduced in the Resource Theory paradigm in this paper https://journals.aps.org/prl/abstract/10.1103/PhysRevLett.126.220404

The recent result by Vinicius P. Rossi et al https://arxiv.org/abs/2212.06856 advances the state-of-the-art in a direction of analysing those resources from the usual paradigm. Really interesting result!!!
