The Medium platform has a lot of good features going for it, yet it literally ignores visual accessibility.
For a platform that is entirely based around readable content, one would think that it’d be close to State of the Art, instead of the State of Unreadable.

Prolixity: excessively verbose writing.
I know I've been guilty of prolixity myself during the development of APCA, in large part because human vision is a complicated and nuanced subject.

I like papers that describe varying phenomena in human vision. Among so many people trying to unify everything under a single model, it's so rare to find some going deep into describing actual differences in perception in the general population - obviously not counting those that describe medical anomalies like color blindness.

I mean, I know that ambient light conditions matter because of glare and that somehow video folks are used to choosing an appropriate gamma depending on the display conditions, but I've never found a good intuitive 5-minutes explanation...
