My dad was huge into classical music, and after he died I took a couple hundred of his thousands of classical LPs. And as I've listened to them, I've been curious what he thought of certain composers, and why he liked them, and how much we'd agree and disagree, and why even though he loved opera he never took me to see an opera.

And I wish he was around so I could ask these questions, but if he was around I wouldn't have his records so I wouldn't have those questions.
