I am looking for papers that examine kernels in CNNs, specifically the differences between lower and higher layer kernels, better if of the same dimensions.
Are 3x3 kernels that many, that significantly different? Are they doing the same things, are they processing textures to shape, from layer to layer?

A big problem with convolution is that output volume can vary wildly based on how well frequencies in the input and impulse response match (or don’t). This rough WIP view of the of the impulse response spectrum represented as colored bars will hopefully enable you to make better decisions when doing #SoundDesign

Working on a spectrum analyzer for my #convolution #clap / #vstplugin. It looked very confusing until I added the gradual peak drop feature instead of following the input spectrum instantly. Still lots of work left to make it nicer, but this should already be usable for continuing development.

I’ve been hard at work on my #convolution #clap / #vstplugin. Feeling great as it’s nearing feature completion, though there’s still a ton of work before I can release this to the public. A lot of the code is proto quality, the UI has to be designed and completely rewritten, presets have to be designed, manual written, website created, etc. etc…
