#CurrentlyReading canning books. Been looking through Preserving by the Pint tonight. Haven't picked something out of this book yet, but have plans to make pomegranate cherry jelly and triple berry jam this week from a couple of other canning books.

Still haven't picked up anything other than cookbooks. I can't tell if I am in a rut or if I am perfectly okay with the lack of reading. Leaning towards okay with it since I am not actively trying to find something else to read.

This is my new favorite cook book and the Instant Pot is my new favorite kitchen appliance. I can't believe I haven't tried an instant pot before now. Just cooked dry beans in an hour instead of all the pre-soaking and cooking on the stove for three hours. The mushroom risotto in this cookbook may be the best thing I've ever made. #Cooking #InstantPot #Cookbook #Vegan

Making bread this morning. Cinnamon sugar bread is up first. It's in the bread machine mixing now.

Now I just have to figure out what kind to make once that's done. I need another sandwich bread because the 15 year old made a pretty Italian loaf, but it's also small. It will only last today for sure.

Have any recommendations for good bread machine cookbooks? I am currently using The No Mess Bread Machine Cookbook and The Ultimate Bread Machine Cookbook.

As a #vegetarian, I welcome the plant-forward, plant-based and plant-centric cookbooks. It is a more honest description. In the past, many #cookbooks that were really just vegetable cookbooks claimed to be vegetarian cookbooks. A vegetarian diet is more complex than a plate of vegetables, and very few “vegetarian” cookbooks take care to balance the various dietary needs of vegetarians.

I got my copy of _The Key to Chinese Cooking_ by Irene Kuo today! Other than a large grease stain on the cover, the book itself is more or less pristine, which is a little disappointing. I love diving into used cookbooks to see what pages were used the most.

Overall, this is a great cookbook, full of fundamental techniques. Kuo has a strong, clear voice. It's easy to see Judith Jones in the layout and indexing. Everything looks delicious, I can't wait to try it!

An absolute bargain #cookbook from the #opshop today. Maggie Beer's Maggie's Table. Enjoyable as a chatty visit with one of Australia's cooking legends. There are wonderful simple recipes like this tangelo cream that I can't wait to try: we have a tagelo tree in the backyard!
