When the recipe says to discard the bay leaf, you really should.
Especially if the bay leaf is the right size to lodge itself at the back of your throat!

Tip - a warm (not hot!) microwaveable heat pack can help speed up proofing if the room temperature is a bit too cool.
I cut the onions and and sautéed them with minced jarred garlic ahead of time, been keeping that in the fridge to add to recipes, saves me a lotta time and hassle

Earlier this year we were in #morocco for my YouTube series, Air B'n'Feast! On the hunt for food and a bit of culture shock, we landed in Casablanca and travelled to a beautiful #airbnb in Fes. Browsing markets, scoping #Ingredients and #cooking up a storm! @snarkysteff I do this, but I also add my seasoning/dry rub at the same time (unsalted of course). If you add meat tenderizer, it makes it fork-tender. #cooking #CookingTip
Boosting this online #cookbook link I found and some #recipe tips.
The cookbook:

Online recipes can be hit-and-miss at best, and cookbooks are often the way to go. They are definitely a luxury item, unless you buy them used, at a library sale, or on clearance.
So my #cookingtip is this: If you have a library, that has cookbooks, and you see a #recipe you like, that you have the ingredients for, and you think is doable, photocopy it!
This will cost some pennies, but is cheaper than buying the whole book, if all you want to keep is one recipe. Free recipe booklets are good to collect as well; take every one that you find, they may surprise you.
If you own a bunch of cookbooks, another #cookingtip is to photocopy (if you have access to a copier) the recipe you want to work with. No copier? Write the recipe out on a piece of paper.
Saves having to juggle the book around, where space may be limited, recipe lies flat and the words can be made bigger or smaller.
If you're making some food for yourself like a pizza for example, take your time. Don't rush the process and carefully align your toppings and also forget a crucial step while making it. You need to add some love into it so you can enjoy it!
But also don't add too many toppings otherwise you might feel sick from the large intake.
And yes, it's perfectly fine to photograph your delicious dish you made with your own hands 😅
Nothing brings a family together like the near-death experience of filling the Thanksgiving turkey with stuffing and risking everyone getting salmonella.
