Tidal characteristics near Nikiski in Cook Inlet, showcasing how energetic the tide environment is. Max current speeds reach around 3.5 m/s or 8 mph or 7 knots, comparable to the Tanana River. The longer term plots also show the long-term patterns that we don't usually notice on the weekly basis. This is used for planning renewable energy along the railbelt and beyond

What happens to the LNG need around the region if/when Hilcorp stops producing in #CookInlet ?

Hasnt Hildebrande said he intends to "wind down" production in the Inlet over the next two decades? Already planning to remove platforms and convert the old legs to tidal energy turbines.

Will the region be ready for a non-LNG heat/energy source? Is the region ready now?
