1/2: Here is a nifty gadget I recently got: A Dark Skys "Skyview" pocket planetarium.

It uses a fairly bright blue laser diode to project gajillions of stars on the ceiling. Despite what my iPhone SE's semi-potato cam shows, the projected stars are razor-sharp and there really are a zillion of them, including the Milky Way.

It cost about $55 total.

Pros include the amazing and accurate starfield, the convenience of a small rechargeable gadget, and the low price compared to a Sega Homestar or Dark Skys DS-1.
