Following this [post](https://old.reddit.com/r/gnome/comments/167k377/do_you_know_any_knowngood_text_expander_for/), I'm announcing that packages for #Espanso are available on #COPR for #Fedora:
https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/eclipseo/espanso/
**How to install:**
sudo dnf copr enable eclipseo/espanso
sudo dnf copr install espanso espanso-wayland
**For #Wayland, you have to run first after install:**
sudo setcap "cap_dac_override+p" $(which espanso-wayland)
to allow espanso-wayland to grab the keys.

I decided to spin off the post about #Copr and #Mock to separate account. If you want to read about it, please follow @fedoracpt
I will boost the posts from this account at the beginning.

I'm still on the fence about #Flatpak/#Snap/#AppImage vs distro-packaged apps.
I do like the idea of containerised apps in certain situations. But to me it comes down to who you trust. For example. most Flatpak apps aren't verified. Do I trust a random person more than the people who run my #Linux #distro?
Add #AUR, #COPR, and other equivalents to the mix, and the waters get even more murky.
Then there's the issue of out-of-date libraries inside packages (missing features, security issues).

With Fedora 36 now EOL, I will stop building against the platform. Please migrate to Fedora 37 or Fedora 38 for continued releases and support!

Here are the release notes of the latest upgrade of #Copr. It happened actually a week ago. It took us some time to draft a doc. https://docs.pagure.org/copr.copr/release-notes/2023-04-05.html Notable change is that searching works again.
Just a note for people hesitating to try #DNF5 - I have been trying it for more than half a year. And in the past few months, I have not found any issues. So I use it as a default. And it is much faster. DNF5 is present in #Fedora 38, and for older Fedoras, there is #Copr repository https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/ReplaceDnfWithDnf5#How_To_Test

Copr is like the AUR or PPAs, but for Fedora. It's a great way to make packages available on Fedora without actually having them in the main repos.
