The layout of this ritual manual is regular, the handwriting neat and clean, and the coloring of the ink is very even, all signs of a practiced scribe.

See for comparison this ritual manual from the so-called Coptic Wizard's Hoard.

Bainchôôôch in the Coptic Gnostic book "Pistis Sophia", chapter 147:

"Jesus said:
If the time of such an one is completed through the sphere, the receivers of Bainchoooch, who is one of the triple-powered gods, come after his soul and lead his with and exultation ... "

Also note that Egyptian transliteration does not include any vowel information (which makes sense, as vowels aren’t recorded in Egyptian hieroglyphs).

We do know (reconstructed from ) that the word for “to hear” would have been pronounced (in Old Egyptian at least) something like *𝑠𝑎́𝑑̠𝑎𝑚 /ˈsa.ɟam/.

Today is Christmas Eve for Copts, in addition to anyone who celebrates on the Julian or older colander.

So instead of a translation, here is an excerpt of an English poem by a man heavily involved in Coptic culture and society:

"we learn our names by water
blessed in the river of struggle
and from beneath the dome, recount:
mubarak al-ati bism al-Rubb
mubarak al-ati bism al-Rubb"

I came across this mention of a in the - well, technically it's extrabibilcal (outside the canon) for , but the church includes it - so, precedent exists!

From I Clement 25:
Let us consider that wonderful sign [of the resurrection] which takes place in Eastern lands, that is, in Arabia and the countries round about. There is a certain bird which is called a phoenix. This is the only one of its kind, and lives five hundred years."

While my novel, I was on the fence about making my mc or her religion ambiguous.

Then I read this quote by Edwar al-Kharrat, "Coptic Christianity is very closely linked to the old religions, the Pharaonic Osiris, to the old Egyptian civilization. And so a Coptic boy would be more affected by this history than a Muslim boy."

Similarly, I about Coptic girls cause I think they have a lot to say that's not commonly written about.

From a for a good voice:

"Yak Meiak Semiak, the three mighty in their power, who stand over the bed of the tree of life:

Give sweetness to my throat! I am Severus, son of Anna. Now, now, at once, at once, now, now, now!"

Have you heard about the ancient book "About the Mystery of the Letters"?

The work explores the secret messages of the Greek and the idea that there is an original connection between writing and creation.

The author, a famous monk from the 6th century, believes that the of is revealed in the form and shape of the letters as well as in their names.

Here is my short video about it:
