@SrRochardBunson I'm thinking that maybe #squant could be a middle ground for #AIart where we keep the #proprietary #datasets for images squant balanced so it doesn't conflict with the #mainstream tech hardware that would render squant invisible on non squant equipped devices. Out of sight out of mind and the value of exploring squant has compelling public interest to make up for the violation of #copywrite and justify fair use

If I have to have an opinion about #AI and #copywrite the argument by artists suing #stablediffusion
that "its little more than a modern collage tool" pretty much encapsulates why I think they're ridiculous people. I will not name names but one in particular has apparently been on my shit list for reasons completely unrelated to suing stable diffusion.

The collage was a major artistic innovation around which dadaism and surrealism were able to forge an entire global scene and culture around which our most celebrated authors and artists sprang.

If every jazz man sued another jazz man for direct copywrite infringement we wouldn't have jazz.

We wouldn't have electronic music if not for the totally illegal sampling craze that corresponded with internet piracy emerging as its own standalone political faction.

Attempts to remove the expressive value or novelty from works generated through AI is absolutely something that only ridiculous people should be doing. History has spoken
