Aaron Swartz died on this day 10 years ago. He had been threatened with years of jail time from the Obama adminstration for legally downloading too many science papers that were funded with state money but were hidden behind corporate paywalls.

In other words, it was murder via legal harassment.

Avenge Aaron Swartz!

while WotC is really trying to cash a second time on the culture build by others on top of a common ground, people and companies that have not seen the devil in the OGL1.0a and the total legal uncertainty both in the copyright and section 9. (right to modify and authorize versions of the licence) should also worried on their own naivety ...

@dnddeutsch If Hasbro gets away with this heist, it'll be yet more proof that Copyright is theft and censorship.

Like, a lot of developers use the OGL that have nothing to do with D&D. They're trying to kill competition here, which To Be Fair, is exactly what #copyright was created for.
