Going through some pictures I came across these from a few years ago.

This is Corfe Castle, in Dorset.

Established by William the Conqueror, in the 11th century, it was partially destroyed during the English Civil War.

Growing up in Bournemouth, we used to visit frequently on days out. Today it’s owned by the National Trust.

@naturehawk 50 years ago (in 1972 before the NT got their hands on the village), my wife and I were living in Corfe village, just by the square. Had some wonderful New Year parties in the cottage then into the square with the rest of the towns and my 2nd cousin Charlie Orchard doing the music and lights.
