7 Maritime Area Consents [MACs] were awarded.

These will allow the most viable & well-advanced offshore energy projects to progress through the planning system & reach development.

From manifesto to Programme for Government to delivery. This year, almost 8,000 people who already called Ireland their home were able to legalise their status under a life-changing, once-in-a-generation scheme first proposed by the Green Party in our general election manifesto.

This potentially worrying jump comes less than two months after Green Party leader Eamon Ryan brought in new legislation, effectively banning smoky fuels in efforts to curb Ireland's pollution.

Despite these new laws being introduced, air quality monitoring website PurpleAir shows that Cork city continues to have particularly poor air quality as a result of high pollution levels.
