Fascinating follow-up study finds that invasive therapies (e.g. angioplasty) for #patients with stable #coronaryArteryDisease (#CAD) do not result in greater long-term survival than do non-invasive therapies (e.g. #medication).
Here's the thing though: those treated with invasive therapies were less likely to die of #heart disease, but more likely to die from other causes, such as #cancer. So weird.
