how are they to pay? that seems like a misdirected goal or maybe a too simple #goal. Paying money at this point is useful but too small of a goal.
The real goal is to change the laws, expectation and big corp structure so this kind of thing is not repeated in pharama, ai, etc

How about #Free/Libre open #information. There is no such thing as a #corp secret.
All meeting, memos, contracts, reports, studies etc are public information, after all they are public corps.

Reading this article by The Register makes me wonder if large corporations money it's something good for the fediverse existence.
