I have picked a hill to die on. “well received” is what you hope the assessment will be of the opening night of your play on Broadway. “got it” or “confirming receipt” is how you tell someone you got their email or attached document.

I've been watching Gemba Academy videos for the past two days to onboard for a new position. The earnest fascination this group has with japanese business jargon makes me chuckle.

It has become an item on my bucket list to use the phrase 火の意志 (Hi no Ishi) in a Kaizen event without explaining or giving any context. Bonus points if I convince a specialist in that business philosohy that it's real japanese business jargon.

One of the company’s important objectives for 2023 is to “deliver durable savings through improved velocity and efficiency.” Porat said in the email.

How much BS can you pack in a single, small sentence?

I'm being told that the place I work at is "on the right side of history" because we help accountants and help schools communicate with parents quickly.
I am appalled.

I can't wait for the slide on our social purpose. It's a bloody for profit software company.

I used "let's eat our own dog food" unironically in a work meeting yesterday. 🙄
