@clolsonus Absolutely correct, and it's interesting to compare numbers.

The U.S. alone has given nearly $20B in military assistance to Ukraine. Meanwhile, the rich world as a whole can't come up with 0.6% of that ($113M) to avert #famine for millions of people in the #HornofAfrica, likely less than the bank fees on the first number.

The difference is that much of the military assistance is effectively #corporateSubsidies to U.S. #armsManufacturers (that's why I don't call it "#aid").
