📢 Brimbank City Council repeatedly breeches it's own Governance Rules and wilfully ignores the access requests of disabled people in their community!

I again used my questions to directly address the way Council breeches in their own Governance Rules and called for them to rectify the issue this month - they refused. I was advised that I would be provided with a written response and details on how to make a complaint; meaning my questions will remain off the public record!
Council excused this response by stating they did not believe they had breeched any of the Governance Rules, yet the fact they were unable to demonstrate how I was incorrect, paired with the fact that council read my question in full this month which cited that it breeches rule 57.14 if they do not read my question in full, I believe confirms that they did indeed breech this rule. They then tried to question my intelligence by stating that they would work to ensure the rules were better understood.

So I put it to you, how do you interpret the following information?

- 57.14 of Brimbank’s Governance Rules state; “All questions and answers must be as brief as possible, and no discussion may be allowed other than by Councillors for the purposes of clarification.”
- Council’s question submission site states that questions must be under 1000 characters to comply with this rule and you are unable to submit your question if it exceeds this limit.

- I was not in the chamber, so no discussion was attempted and the question was within the 1000 character limit and was as brief as possible without vital details being omitted.

For context, I have included the questions as submitted below. The parts in italics are the parts Council did NOT read out.

Police have been handing out Public Order Act (Big Oil Thinktank) notices and detaining people since 8.10am this Monday morning as around 180 activists, split into 14 groups, rallied in Lambeth, Victoria, Liverpool Street and other locations.
The march marks 13 weeks since Just Stop Oil began its latest campaign pushing for Westminster to halt new licensing or consents for oil, gas and coal extraction in Britain. The government is currently considering a major expansion of drilling in the North Sea along with several on-land projects, with oil giants including Shell, Ineos and BP all vying for projects.
