I have fabric and foam for a costume/cosplay project, I've got a sort of plan for a Korok costume. But life is life-ing (in a super exciting but busy-making way) and now I actually don't think this will come together in time for this Halloween. Maybe for next year's comicon instead 🤔

Hopefully able to share the fun life news soon but for now it's firmly under wraps. It is good/fun life stuff though!

Sleeves need another ironing, but they're basted in place and fit is still good. I'll extend the dart points a little cause they're a bit pointy right now.

I'll ease the sleeves in as much as I can when I stitch them, but it doesn't matter a ton for the lining. For the wool, I will try to steam them into shape before I do the final stitches.

This is Wee Morgan. Back in the day when I was very involved in Renaissance Faire, I decided to make a tiny version of my character, Morgan MacLeod. Wee Morgan wears a tiny version of my Faire garb, made from the same fabrics. (Though I carried a dagger, not a Morningstar; a little artistic license is acceptable.) Her hair is made from some of my handspun yarn.

Last year I watched too much Outlander and decided to make a costume in case I ever travel through some stones to the Scottish Highlands in 1700's. LOLz

Oh! Got some photos of the costume I made for the last show. The theme was classic burlesque and I tried to go as old school as possible - I even made the corset from scratch and although it's not perfect, I'm still really proud of how it turned out. #burlesque #costuming

Maeve Nàdair - the daughter of The Green man and Leanan Sídhe. These two mythical beings had passionate affair but after she was born they split and left her to be raised by druids.

Last weekend was Genghis Con here in Perth. The is also a different Genghis Con in the USA which is acknowledged as a sister convention in the programme.
These photos are from Sunday which I spent a large portion of playing "Wayfarers of the Lower Tigris" - a fun and interesting game. The young lady had an especially well executed anthropomorphic wolf costume that she was carrying around and kindly modelled for our appreciation.
A well wasted weekend ... got a book "The Emerald Key", attended a couple of panels, did some weaving while helping on the SCA display table, played a couple of games and had a couple of nice hotdogs from the "What the Flip" food caravan.
