With the half the season gone, I know I want to photograph my garden as much as possible to carry me through the long winter months when there are no bumblebees or butterflies to be spied from the kitchen window. I love living in a place with seasons, but fresh roses, cosmos, dahlias, zinnias, and other floriferous joys are sorely missed when the cooler weather starts to drag on.
So here's a little reminder to myself and anyone else out there this week that if you have a chance to take a moment to stop and smell the roses, take it. And maybe take a photo or five, too.

A few photos from the garden this morning. Had to wear a mask because our air quality is not good but the plants are looking pretty good regardless. I have been slowly taking over the grass to convert to garden and will continue to do so for years to come, hopefully. this garden is in mid michigan in zone 5B
