Starting #CouchTo5K this week. The last time I tried it was spring 2022, and I lasted five weeks.
Hoping that more regular physical activity will improve my sleep, and in turn improve my overall energy levels.
Also, I'd just really like to be in better shape than I am.
Ich hab heute mit #Couchto5k angefangen und es war besser als gedacht.
Ich hab allerdings deutlich gemerkt, dass ich keine Ausdauer habe, weil mehr als 45s laufen - egal wie langsam - nicht ging.
#couchto5k Week 2: Run 1
Obviously a little harder than last week and today I just couldn't keep my breathing in rhythm. However, I didn't stop and just puffed away and completed the run.
Music: Second Life by Chaoseum
A Swedish metal band that formed in 2018 that I discovered by accident last year because it popped up in my suggested video feed on YouTube. The first album is ok, but I love the second and I've just discovered they have a third from Nov last year. I'll listen later. 😁
Last year I completed #C25k and was running 3 times a week until I just stopped in September,I don't know why.
I've been meaning to start again but for me, the biggest hurdle is always the initial start, like climbing a huge vertical hill. After that, I wonder why I didn't start earlier!
Today I started all over again. I was stupid enough to think I could pick up where I left off but body said no.
Downloaded the brilliant C25K/BBC app, started Week 1 Run 1 and started walking.
Bought a shokz runner pro headphones cuz the instructor on #CouchTo5K said I'm now officially a runner after completing week 6 :flipturt:
I love my Sony noise cancelling headphones but it does get a bit uncomfortable especially when I'm sweating. Also friend told me it's not safe to use noise cancelling while running - it's the best tho

I did day 2 of #c25k ! The legs felt stronger than on day 1, less wobbly. I didn't get as many subtle knee pains as on day 1 (that day I got the kind of pain that comes from having shitty knees, you know, the usual joint pain).
My heart rate is still through the roof in the jogging parts, but I didn't feel as winded, or tired or sore during the walking parts. I'm also still trying to get a grasp on a good breathing pattern. Right now I'm alternating between REALLY thinking about how/when to breathe and just forgetting about it?
It was nice running at night, but I'm kinda blind at night and some parts of the park are kinda shaded and I couldn't really see the ground.
Never thought I'd say this, but running is nice, my mind empties and all I think about is my breathing and my legs.
Since I guess this is now my #CouchTo5K journal, I was expecting week one to be more difficult for me so I scheduled it in such a way that this week I did 2 days of week one and come Monday I'll go back to W1D1. Slow and steady, because so far my knees are doing good but I don't want to scare them.
- Must remember to bring tissues with me next time.
