I find it fascinating that, when I’ve dared to post critiques of the motives of the #US #Imperium, #NATO & the arms manufacturers’ “permanent war complex” in respect of the #Ukraine invasion by #Russia (which I fundamentally do NOT support btw), I get responses very similar to yours.

They all seem to parrot western/ NATO propaganda lines that (crudely): deny the US/ NATO have in *any* way provoked those invasions & put *all* the blame on #Putin for his decision to invade (both in 2014 & 2022)!

I’ve been called all sorts of names (not by you obviously) for my troubles - both on Masto & previously on Musk’s platform.

Seems to me we’re stuck back in the old Cold War mentality of: US/ NATO/ “free world” always good, never wrong vs Russia always bad, always wrong!

I’m not by any means an expert in geopolitics nor am I a historian but I know & trust the work of someone who has a deep understanding of both when it comes to US imperial behaviour - Chris #Hedges.

I therefore respectfully invite you to read Hedges’ article in #Counterpunch entitled: “Waltzing Torwards Armageddon With The Merchants of Death”
