Censorship just backfires in my view.

The #FediBlock and #RapidBlock lists enable lots of idiots to feel like they are "doing something" but it's more armchair activism that is harmful.

This is why #CounterRapidBlock was created to shut the censors in their own hugbox where they will inevitably self-destruct like MySpace.

#RapidBlock is the censorship list that succeeded #FediBlock, and #CounterRapidBlock is the effort by some of us to simply domain ban any sites that use the RapidBlock list.

I like the idea of #OpenDiscussion on the #Fediverse mostly by implementing #CounterRapidBlock.

We need:

1. No viewpoint discrimination
2. Only civil, informative conversation

This takes a careful balance.

I agree on the project of assembling human knowledge and finally getting some answers about ourselves, nature, the universe, and civilization.
