Though standards change, it's good to remind ourselves of what constitutes #courtesy and good manners.
Above all, it's: Consideration for others. It's rude to take the last cookie, or fail to hold the door open for the person behind you, or ignore the new arrival, because we should take others' needs into account. No matter what period of history, which part of the planet, which culture which level of socioeconomic status, this has been immutable.
