@meetjess The hospital near me in Illinois, made all their providers wear a mask and shield when the outbreaks were bad because they got tired of paying sickleave and having their workers die. If you’re gonna be in a place where a lot of people aren’t masked, add a shield.🥰 #Covid #CovidIsn’tOver

More than 2000 people die of COVID each week, yet we continue not to do the few things we could do to stop the spread—mask up, socially distance, and assure the air in our homes and public buildings is well ventilated and cleaned with HEPA filters. Covid-cautious folks: Keep asking for reasonable accommodations.

We met my kiddo's OT this week, & I was disappointed to see that she was one of the few therapists not masking. So I asked the office if we could request someone who masks, & they said she'd be happy to!

While I'd prefer mask mandates to take the burden off the individual and protect the whole community, speaking up is something we can do in the meantime. Ask!

I’m mainly here in case there is a migration of covid Twitter to here.

Twitter and Facebook seem to bring out polarising behaviour, so it will be interesting to see if the tone is different here.

I joined Twitter only a year ago and found the scientists there to be enormously helpful in improving my understanding.

I’m particularly grateful for real-time UK trends in covid as the various omicron waves arrived.
