Media is lying about what the WHO statement said now.

WHO said continued immunization through infection and/or vaccination *may* provide protection against morbidity and mortality.

Media is framing this as an announcement we've reached herd immunity that isn't real with an immune evasive coronavirus like #Sarscov2 .
