While my mom was here, she masked up and respected my #CovidProtocols, and I only needed to remind or ask her a couple of times.

Considering my immediate family has totally abandoned masking, social distancing, and regular testing back home, I consider this a huge win for #CovidSafety.

Why? Because it tells me that a lot of people are willing to #MaskUp when asked and take #CovidPrecautions - but they've fallen into the #LetItRip trap and the #CovidIsOver narrative so they've given up precautions.

Is it exhausting, frustrating, and deeply upsetting when people fail to understand that we still need to #MaskUp on their own?

Yes.

Does it mean we stop having these conversations and give up all hope that people who have stopped masking will change?

No.

@currentbias There are hospitals that request staff to wear a mask for 10 days after any viral infection - great one thinks. No, unfortunately the patient automatically assumes the caregiver has Covid and is immediately upset and uncomfortable. What does this do, creates issues for immunocompromised staff to wear masks every day for their protection. The unfortunate repercussions of #covidisover is huge and so unfortunate. I’m grateful I have the ability to continue to mask but so very sorry for those who would like to but don’t want to be the “odd duck”.

I'm thinking I need to make a FAQ of a list of studies that shows covid asymptomatic transmission, tissue damage, immune system dysregulation, long covid percentages, mask studies, vaccine trial noise floors.

Make a handout to hand people, instead of having to go through a response when hearing "oh yeah, I've had #covid and it was no worse than a cold".

It's become tedious to enter into this little pointless "debate" when the other side just had their personal anecdotes. I have plenty of anecdotes, but I've also read a gazillion studies and abstracts at this point - not realizing there would be a pop quiz nearly every day.

There were times in the past few years when I thought "I maybe should collect this study in a folder with all of the others" but kept thinking people would eventually become more educated. How naive.

I would think I'm not the only person that's thought of doing this? Surely someone somewhere is keeping a list of such things? The routine "polite spontaneous casual debate" has gotten old, I want to go "here, read all of this and get back to me with your anti #masks #covidisover anti #vaccine #mildcovid garbage".
