NO hint of a pink line this time.

Hmmm . . . just took my perfunctory monthy Covid test and it came up positive w/a very faint pink line. 😦

I've still been masking in crowded indoor & outdoor spaces.

Feel no symptoms and have been vaxed 6x times. So, apparently the last vax still works. 🙂

Going to retest myself again later today to verify the result.

@Empathy1st It would be an easy way of "stealth testing" people. If it is <$100 USD, it would be worth carrying around in public instead of a CO2 monitor to know when you are in a high risk area. Still not going maskless as I don't like respiratory viruses and accidentally ingesting flying insects. #COVIDIsNotOver #COVIDTest

Is there a #covidTest conspiracy?

1. Throughout the last year's I've done many of the government issued Covid lateral flow years. In particular, after we returned to face to face teaching.

2. Last Friday, I started to feel bad, and did another one: clear negative.

3. The first batch of the new tests I bought myself arrived today: clear positive.

So, the question arises: have i, indeed, never had it, up to now? Or have the government issued tests failed to detect it for over two years?

Or (partially tongue in cheek conspiracy theorising, because I just failed to start working again): did the government issue tests had an intentionally high false negative rate to keep Covid numbers low to allow earlier opening of the economy?

Don't be too quick to throw out your #COVID at-home test kits. Just found out, via the FDA website, that the expiration dates on these tests have been EXTENDED MORE THAN ONCE. For example, the Roche test in the blue & white box had Aug 9 2022 as the original exp date. That had been extended to Nov 9 when I checked quite a while ago but now it's extended further to Feb 9 2023. Apparently manufacturers accumulate data over time & can state shelf life with greater confidence. #covidtest

There may be a problem with the #QuickVue at-home COVID tests made by #Quidel providing false positives. I tested this morning and got a very faint pink line, indicating positive. However, I tested later with two other brands of #COVID tests and got negatives. Then I did some research online and found a Twitter thread with people having similar issues with this company's test.
