Barley field from the cliff path between #Baginbun and #Carnivan beaches, #HookHead #CoWexford. Gouache on watercolour cardstock; I took the photo in July 🎨📸

Some rusty reds: broadleaved dock, crab apples, blackberry #BannowBay #CoWexford
Happy pollinators in the hedgerow flowers, cinnabar moth caterpillars in the ragwort. #BannowBay #CoWexford #bloomscrolling

Number 5, #DunbrodyAbbey wall mosses ( from a photo I took in March). This one has the actual abbey in it!

Dad (on the right) was Dr. Cox’s last patient before his retirement this month. Our parents were lucky to have a kind, nationally-known GP as their doctor all these years!

I’m doing a series of “rain in moss” paintings from mosses in the walls of Dunbrody Abbey, which we visited in March; this is the first:

Just finished a painting of one of the #DunbrodyAbbey arches overlooking the river—I took a photo of it in March. Here’s the backwards sequence of production:

My brothers and sisters (Ireland, Wales, England) on What’s App just now (discussion below). Dad (turning 95 this month in #CoWexford) is still planting his favourite varieties. I’m the only one of the parents’ eight kids who hasn’t successfully raised a row of potatoes, though I have had accidental luck with some that self-sprouted in the compost pile 👍🏼
I liked the colours in the natural foam which gets tossed up onto the cliff tops.

We drove down the western side of the #HookPeninsula from #duncannon beach to the end of #HookHead, still wild even though the tide was too low to see the waterspout rocks in action. The café windows of the #hooklighthouse, longest-in-use lighthouse in the world, look out over the cliff tidal waves.
