Why this is a boon to the #FossilFuel industry:
#Wetlands are natural carbon cycling, so despite their huge contribution to greenhouse gasses, they are not including in footprint calculations. But #CowFarts are. Natural enteric fermentation is 75% of the Ag methane emissions. Drop that and anthropogenic Ag emissions are only 36MT...

CO2 drawn down by photosynthesis and stored in plant material is going to return to the atmosphere via decomposition - be it land, stomach, or wetland processes.
Should we consider a developer's plan to destroy a wetland carbon negative because of methane? that would obviously be ridiculous
