for our we went to , the best restaurant in . We had a magnificent meal... Calamari, mushrooms stuffed with snails, paella linguini and a rib eye steak, finishing with a berry Pavlova. An incredible once a year feat!

for we feast on crab gifted by a cousin with salad made from local spinach, figs, carrots and tomatoes from our garden and basmati rice. Only the rice and butter were bought in a store!! so yummy!

@toondoon1010 LOL... I am from Canada. I have spent a bit of time at Joshua Tree in California and for me the desert seems like Mars. I kept asking people I met there "So you are from here?" I just can't wrap my head around living somewhere that you don't have to cut grass or weed because stuff just does not grow!!! This is our local swimming hole.
