After Marika's Ph.D defence and subsequent party (congrats!) I took a quick trip over the bridge to #Copenhagen. I visited the feel shops of Faraos Cigarer but the real highlight was going to #cphdox and their Interactive exhibit with #VR, #AR and game artworks.

The game WE ARE HERE BECAUSE OF THOSE THAT ARE NOT by https://instagram.com/ladydangfua was a highlight, providing a trip into an utopian digital world where the needs of #trans people (of color) are (for once) met.

At #CPHDOX "Inter:Active" Symposium the other day, and a bit shocked to hear an opening speech in which #metaverse had apparently become the catch-all phrase for VR, AR, Web3, IoT, wearable tech - even AI/machine learning. Basically all things digital and its interfacing with everything else. Is this the unavoidable horizon against which digital culture must now unfold?

Now I must study the program for #CPHDOX at https://cphdox.dk. The festival is live this year 15-26 March, and online from 24 March to 2 April. I’m glad they are keeping the online element. (Only for Denmark, Greenland, & Faroe Islands.) Not everyone can get to Copenhagen, and there are #documentary fans all over the country. Online gives more people a chance to join in. I’ve used the festival pass the last three years, and it has been a good deal for me.

Trying to get from #Bremen to #Copenhagen in for a weekend of #CPHDOX in march. By night rail: 12hrs, incl. 4 hours waiting in an empty station in Malmö. By plane: 45 minutes. Same price. #DB can't even buy me a ticket and sends me to #Interrail (LOL) and tries to give me an itinerary with only 4 minutes to change trains (as if the regio wouldn't be delayed anyway). Booking with #SJ is way easier. Looks like I'll take their Night train. #Rail in Europe, and esp. Germany needs a major boost in night timetables. I don't necessarily mean sleeper cars, I just don't want to spend a night at a station just cause my connecting train was 4 minutes late. #Trains #Railway #Mobility #PublicTransport

Wow! I just sobbed my eyes out watching "Nelly and Nadine" (free) on #Filmstriben (Danish libraries' film service). Incredible #love story. #Documentary shows the long road to unraveling their story. Opens with naming some of those who found freedom after WWII in Sweden. Putting names to anonymous faces from an old news reel kicked off the waterworks.Parallels to today. Nelly and Nadine's love survived it all. Missed this at #CPHDOX 2022. Now, 10 out of 5 stars from me. See it! #LGBTQ
