Wow, I've just found a station in war-torn #Ukraine! #UT6UD, Vadym in Kyiv. Deserves an award of its own! 💙💛 #hamr #hamradio #amateurradio #160m #CQWW #CQWW160 #contest #mediumwave #mwdx

Isn't it remarkable that the 160m SSB contesters are actually filling in the whole band, to the point there's NO CW? And somebody's even on 1809.5 kHz LSB, which, I think, is out-of-band here in IARU R1 🤣 #hamr #hamradio #amateurradio #160m #CQWW #CQWW160 #contest #mediumwave #mwdx

OK, I enjoyed skimming those CW signals at the end of the #ARRL International DX Contest, so I'm firmly looking forward for next ones. (well, they don't need to be strictly CW editions 😜)
And next weekend brings a total of 3 (THREE!) quite large & interesting contests:
#CQWW 160m Contest, SSB, 2200z Fri - 2200z Sun
#REF Contest, SSB, 0600z Sat - 1800z Sun
#UBA Contest, CW, 1300z Sat - 1300z Sun
the French & Belgian ones not to be held on 160m
Kurzfristiger ungeplanter Antennenbau. InvL Antenne für 160M steht, hab Natürlich den Draht erst zu kurz gemacht wie sich das gehört aber jetzt sollte es passen.
14m vert und 27m horizontal.
Bin gespannt. #hamradio #amateurradio #cqww
BTW, CQ WW 160m Contest, the CW part, starts in 2 hours 🔔
As a #MWDX'er, 160m is a natural addition to chasing those broadcast stations, often trans-continental, which is a real challenge on receive side... but way more so on transmit side.
So good luck to all participants! Come & fill that band with good DX 😁 #hamr #hamradio #CQWW #CQWW160

I was happy to participate in the #CQWWDX CW contest over the past weekend. My #RA made it difficult, but for contesting the best piece of equipment in the shack is the chair. Put the $$ into the chair if you want to log the Qs. #HamRadio #CQWW #HamRadioContesting

Mal schauen, was so kommt in den nächsten Wochen.
I don't really do contests but I've entered CQWW a couple of times...
Came 2nd in Scotland in my class in QRP CW in 2003, although I should have been in a different Country (Shetland) when I'd have been 1st
Came 1st in my proper country, in my class in low power SSB in 2013.
In fairness 1st place in Shetland means 1st out of a field of 1 😆
I am really enjoying the condx in the CQ WW, mono 15m/Cw. Despite not having much time today, during my morning I worked easily in Asia with good signals from Japan, BY, 9N and UA0. In the afternoon the band of Caribbean stations dominates and of course, the American friends with very good signals from K0 and K7. For me the band is almost closed ( 18.24z ). I only listen to K3LR, KP3DX, N2YO and little else.
Tomorrow I will be more hours, today they played several commitments.
