Are you a Deadliest Catch fan? I was a huge fanboy around 12 years ago when I made this banner for the forums (now gone, say sorry). I came across it when I was working on another photo from the recent ice storms and thought I would throw this back out again.

My morning walk includes the fishing pier. It's been cold (for us!) lately, so I ask those fishing for crab about how many layers of clothing they're wearing.

Two new records this morning!

The guy with his arms out had 5 top layers and 3 bottoms! He's from Sacramento, so we'll give him a break.

Second guy had 4 layers of clothing up top, one pancho and a baby! New winner, 7 layers!

Time to contact Guinness World Records?

Ocean’s problem of anything Commercial: #CrabFishing north of Mendocino has been delayed at least until Dec. 16, and pending meat quality testing. For the rest of the state, the #CDFW anticipates assessing the presence of #whales — which can become entangled in crab fishing gear — on Dec. 7.
