Many little jobs to sort out today, and very few of them planned for, so we're just settling down to the first drink of the day to accompany the final game of the first day of #MagicWeekend #Rugbyleague

This is Baby-Faced Assassin IPA which, if we'd checked properly before we bought, we likely wouldn't have selected as it's made from 100% Citra hops. And we're not fans of Citra hops. However, it's actually not too punch-in-the-stomach citrussy, which is a relief.

We've spent the post-work period this evening in the garden drinking some more beer, listening to music, enjoying the birds doing their bird things. Feels like a Friday because today's been our last day at work for a week so I almost came in and apologised for missing #TOTP but no, that's tomorrow. Anyway, I'll apologise now for missing TOTP tomorrow since we'll be at sea, passing the Isle of Wight probably, being entertained by Chesney Hawkes. Such is our life.

Just popped up to Urban Island here in #Portsmouth to pick up some of our favourites - Urban Graffiti (black IPA and stout, 6 German and English malts, plus Simcoe, Cascade, and Centennial hops) and Soul Surfing (Azacca and Sabro) - and try their new beer, Small Print (Simcoe with Vermont yeast).
