For me personally, Arlo Belshee‘s talk on Promiscuous Pairing was the most interesting talk of #CraftConf 2023:

I gave this talk in a circus tent at a railway museum. It's all downhill from here.

"What are the different ways of implementing change? [...] Stage magician-style does not work in a business setting, or does it?" #CraftConf

"Rotating team members randomly through pairs led to better results than assigning them by qualification. [...] Fast rotation - every 3 to 4 hours - was more effective than slower rotation. [...] It led to less bugs. That came as a surprise. [...] The green arrows are Promiscuous Pairing. [...] That result was completely counterintuitive. [...] The intuition was completely wrong." #CraftConf
"Most of the time intuition leads you to the things you already know. Therefore you need to use more data to underpin your decisions. [...] Therefore: Change your retrospective." (https://twitter.com/arlobelshee @ Craft 2023) #CraftConf

Having fun watching @samnewman’s keynote at #CraftConf.
High jokes per-minute ratio and they are all zingers 😁
@nick_tune I am heading to #Budapest #craftconf tomorrow - been a regular since 2016
I will however be again away from "invoicable work". There's #FutureCreators23, #7NFreelancerNetworking #ScanAgile, #CraftConf and #EuroSTAR and my own #TestingDozen on my list until June.
Learning a lot while speaking and teaching is not away from the project work. Managers could do better in enabling this.
