Cutethulus 💜🐙

This week I've been sleeping a lot after work but I managed to get the faces on this set of purple cthulu that I had started last fall. I also pinned the fabric for the wings. The wings take a while because, like the little mouths on these pals, I hand stitch the edges.

I have other ideas for new plush patterns, but I should finish some things that I've already started, right?

I only found this, when it was already getting close to 10 pm on my list of the world.

Started a new project today, so quite a bit of swatching and trying out needle sizes and not much to show for it.

But I'm halfway through the lower hen of the back piece.

It's for my daughter, with dark blue as background and burgundy stripes.

It turns out amigurumi is both harder and easier than you might think. Here's my first project: an anatomical heart, with flowers on it. The flowers were my own addition. I think they came out okay.

I was about to write that next time I decide to make an amigurumi gift, I will give myself more time to account for mistakes, reworking, days when I just can't... but my next deadline is April 4. D'oh.
