I've been binge-listening to #FightingForHakeem, written by #CraigFoster and #AlexEngelMallon, read by Craig Foster. It's the heroic and unlikely tale of how Foster and the #football/#soccer community united with #refugee and #humanrights advocates to fight for the release of a Hakeen al-Arabi from detention in Thailand, and prevent his extradition to Bahrain. And while it's ultimately an inspiring story, it's no spoiler to say #FIFA, #Bahrain, and various royal families come out sounding as corrupt and self-serving as you'd expect!

Australian football viewers will be familiar with the political activism of Craig Foster AM, TV presenter during many world cups and former Socceroos player. Fozzy is well-known for his public advocacy for refugees and criticism of the Australian government for human rights abuses. Australia, to its shame, created to stop the boats policy that the UK now seeks to adopt. So how is it that the BBC sees Lineker as too critical of the government. It's clearly overreach on part of UK government meddling in the public broadcaster.
