Local residents in #Cranbrook will once again be facing a day where the few basic amenities such as the Co-Op with its Post Office inside are closed.

This time though there's good reason as overnight someone broke into the shop, smashing the windows etc and causing plenty of damage.

If you happen to know anything or saw anything, please let the police know - the people who do this ultimately just deprive the local residents of basic resources.

Anddddd it has started - my bid to become a district councillor to help the residents of #cranbrook get things done, be heard, communicated and involved in the future of the town.

It's not about me though, it's about helping the passionate people who want to see progress on the incredibly unusual opportunity presented by having a town being built from scratch, are fed up with the status quo and fancy some straight-forward, non-nonsense representation at the council.

Devon Live has picked up on the plans to complete a walking/cycling route from #Cranbrook to #Exeter - part of plans East Devon District Council had provided in the Local Plans.

Personally it seems sensible to me - you could compare it to the Exmouth > Exeter route which was developed and allows people to walk. The Cranbrook to Exeter one wouldn’t be as scenic but could be useful for visiting people along the way or using active transport to get to work etc.
