Despite all of our VR and drone technology etc we cannot truly capture the experience of “being there”. I had one such experience recently at Crater Lake in Oregon.

It is a lake in the caldera of a volcano that erupted approx: 7700 years ago. It is 5 miles by 6 miles across. The lake is up to 2000 feet deep. The water is so gloriously blue. My pics don’t do it justice, even the stitched panoramic one.

It is a must see place. Happy 4th of July.
