My personal wet California winter indicator: a spring forms in my crawl space. Graduated from mud patch to stream.

If I let things go I'd have a stream from one end of the house to the other.

In the 10 years I've lived here, this is the worst I've seen it. The visible sump is my secondary sump, which isn't working right now. I have a siphon from this one to my lower one but it can't keep up.

I'm a software guy, and my knowledge of #networking #hardware and wire[less] #protocols is virtually nil.

At least pretty much every room I'd want to wire is on the ground floor, and I think there's a #conduit I can use to get a bundle upstairs to the office. I just need to get another spool or so of #Cat6 #plenum cable and I could conceivably run things through the #crawlspace.

This weekend was an absolute marathon. In two days my brother, a friend, and myself dug out and laid 10mil plastic across my entire crawlspace. Very impressive amount of work done, but boy is my body sore today!

Still more work to do, but I can handle that myself, I shutter to think how hard it would have been to do that single-handedly.

The humidity has already gown down, and the temperature has gone up, and it's not even fully insulated or de-humidified yet. 👍
