#CrazyIdea for a #TTRPG: CCG. Start with a deck of modest successes in a variety of skills and other situations. Level up, swap in powerful cards for the skills you want. Battle or skill check? Draw a set number of cards, see if one applies. DM sets number. Higher number, easier check. Injuries, represented by cards, reduce the number of cards you can draw each time. It doesn't matter how amazing the cards you draw are if none apply to the current situation.

There should be video game controllers designed to require large motions to operate. Perhaps there would be one or two directional pads the user would stand on, operating via stomping or swaying, with a variety of large buttons spread apart to punch (or prehaps levers to pull - with resistance).
They could be used with any existing game, but would provide a full body workout.

#CrazyIdea for a #TTRPG: each character type has a thick, ornate, artificially aged book. Each possible character state is represented by a different page. Pad with stories and game rules. Need a random outcome? The page might tell you "turn to a random check, use the tens digit of the left page" or "turn to a random page, is the third letter of the second word a vowel?"
No dice. No character sheet.

#CrazyIdea for a #TTRPG mechanic, a sort of Karma system, encouraging quiet players to do more, discouraging hogging the spotlight:
Line up tokens representing each PC in random order.
- for each successful check, PC moves up one space
- front PC gets penalty on checks; rear gets bonus
- great roleplaying? Move back one
- something bad needs to happen to a PC (who will the monster attack, etc) pick front player and move back one
- have something good happen to player in rear - move up one

#CrazyIdea: a quadruple hourglass, automatically turning, representing the seasons. 4 bulbs instead of 2, each with a different tint and etching:
Spring: green, seedling
Summer: yellow, sun
Fall: red, leaf
Winter: blue, snowflake
Each bulb has two openings at right angles. When the spring bulb empties into summer, the quadruple hourglass rotates 90 degrees. What was previously a side opening on the summer bulb becomes a bottom opening to fall.
Timed motor or based on weight.

#CrazyIdea for a magic system in fantasy fiction or a #TTRPG: there are several types of energy (body, mind and heart are one possible grouping) that must be kept in balance. Casting a spell increases one of the energies. It doesn't matter how large the energies are as long as they are balanced. When out of balance, there are serious status effects for the caster. They will often have to cast spells they'd rather not to avoid becoming critically unbalanced.

#CrazyIdea a #ProgrammingLanguage for #DistributedSystems that allows the programmer to restrict to which machines certain values can be sent to to recommend where to run certain functions (e.g. run UI stuff on the browser and long computations on the server or desktop)

It would be like having `TootsReadableForUser<x>` in your #TypeSystem where x is a user id. This way it can protect the programmer from accidentally leaking info.

I feel like someone has already tried something like this.
