Some of my fav recipe books are those scribbled on, stained from use, and cobbled together, with love. There’s often space for some improvisation and adaptation in cooking from a recipe book to make it a better fit for your tastes. Thinking about this experiment in natural dyeing / eco printing today. I’ve grown coreopsis tinctoria from seed the past couple of years and it’s so prolific! Finally tried dyeing with it this year and what a process that was. It made me think about how rich and #interdisciplinary a learning experience built around plant dye could be.
