Paris is pure magic! I‘ve been here so often and it’s both - it feels like coming home and yet it always feels like the first time.

The Eiffel Tower will never lose its magic, the Seine river will always be the lifeline of the city, the many cafés, bars and restaurants will always be the heart of Paris, and Crème brûlée will always taste just as nice. 🫶

After wandering around the grounds, I decided I was in the mood for Second Dessert, so I went to the steakhouse and had a creme brulee - that had a FANTASTIC crack! (I'm so used to cremes brulee in the US having little more than a few sprinkles of caramelized sugar on top...)

I was seated near the windows you saw to the LEFT of the center section in the last set of pics.

I found a set of eight creme brulee dishes at the vintage store so now I have the proper vessel for my sous vide creme brulee. And they're nice and sturdy, not like modern ones I've had that break while washing.

Probably last Crème Brûlée update for a while: It was an order a magnitude better this morning. Sitting in the fridge overnight transformed the consistency into the best I've ever eaten. (And I'm super picky about my favorite dessert)

Also: Propane is faster and better than butane. Faster is scarier, but it doesn't heat up the custard as much, which is ideal.
