'To celebrate their 25th Anniversary in Crieff and to say ‘thank you’ to the Shakoor family for a quarter century of fast-food service to Crieff, the town's Community Council facilitated the design of the Snakatak tartan. It adds the green and white of the flag of Pakistan to Snakatak's brand colours and an appropriate "culinary" band of turmeric. The numerous small squares comprise 25 threads each to mark the occasion.' 🥳

Have been investigating the life of Lt Col GW Oldham, who died in #Crieff, in the house I live in, 100 years ago. He and his family were all involved with religious affairs. #MementoMoriMonday In #Crieff Cemetery is the gravestone of Christine Haig (nee Tait) and her husband Major William Haig DSO TD MB CM RAMC. The Order of St John badge on the stone represents an award to Christine for her work as a nursing service VAD during #WW1 in Co Durham and Etaples. William was a cousin of Earl Haig and a GP in Crieff for many years.
