I also consider Candyman #gothic, but Crimson Peak eaks out a win from me.
In fact, they are both what I like to call #horromance but I cannot get that name to catch on.

Yeah, meine Gothic Novelle ist nun bei Testlesenden und ich gönne mir heute mal "Crimson Peak", einen Gothic Horror Film, der mich lose inspiriert hat für die Novelle, ebenso wie andere Geschichten.
Ich wünschte, es würde mehr (moderne) Filme im Gothic Horror Bereich geben, weil ich ein Faible dafür habe. Aber dieses Subgenre, das meistens Grusel und Romantik verbindet, scheint für die Horror-Fans zu soft zu sein & für die Romance-Fans zu gruselig. Schade eigentlich.
