Crinan Harbour, at the north-west end of the 9-mile-long Crinan Canal in Argyll, the nautical shortcut from the Firth of Clyde to the Sound of Jura and the Hebrides. The only thing that spoilt it a little was the canal had been drained for repair work. However the view across Loch Crinan to the Sound of Jura was a pretty good reward though.
