Interestingly, the people at a record store couldn't believe I had bought this down the street as apparently there's some big dispute going between the singer and their label. Wife and I were watching Deadwind on and it occurred to me how much I find myself repeating the things they say in Finnish (kitos, thanks) and that I should find a show in / to help with my learning there. Any recommendations out there for entertaining (not too bleak) shows I might stream with English subtitles and / audio?

so much of what I find is valid storytelling but so bleak. Poverty, war, abuse, misery. Any more standard mysteries, comedies?

Aha the Croatian word for "bill" is "račun". I see some connections:

Croatian: račun
Polish: rachunek
German: rechnung
English (old-fashioned): reckoning

As opposed to the Italian "conto", which I suppose is related to our "account".
